Midvaal Municipality investing in replacing ageing bulk water pipeline infrastructure [SOUND]

# The Midvaal Municipality in Gauteng says it has initiated a project to replace the ageing bulk water pipeline infrastructure, at a cost of around 16-million-rand. The project entails replacing at least 10.2 kilometres of aged water pipelines in Ward Three, Rothdene. Mayor, Peter Teixeira’s spokesperson, Idah Satikhe, says this project is geared towards curbing non-revenue water losses, improving revenue generation, and bolstering the overall efficiency of the water management systems:
