Mashatile says GBV and femicide have reached a tipping point in SA

# Deputy president Paul Mashatile says gender-based violence and femicide have reached a tipping point in South Africa and only through concerted efforts can this scourge come to an end. He led the official launch of the Takuwani Ri-ime Programme of Action at Ha-Masia outside Malamulele, Limpopo, yesterday. This was the third National Men’s Parliament held at the local multi-purpose centre. Mashatile says while legislation plays a critical role in dealing with violence against women and girls, grassroots interventions that support this process are equally important.
