# The DA in Gauteng says linen shortages have disrupted surgery at nine public hospitals this year. This was revealed by Health MEC Nomathemba Mokgethi in reply to DA questions in the legislature. Far East Rand, Leratong, Mamelodi, Sebokeng, Jubilee, Chris Hani Baragwanath, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg, George Mukhari and Helen Joseph hospital were affected. The DA’s Jack Bloom says Mamelodi in Tshwane was the worst affected hospital as about 200 operations had to be cancelled when linen shortages persisted for two weeks:
