# Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures exceeding average maximums are expected for the interior of the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal from today until Friday. The South African Weather Service announced that heat wave conditions are expected to persist for the central and eastern parts of the country for the whole week. The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi is urging residents to exercise caution when conducting daily activities:
