Home Affairs asks South Africans to collect their ID’s ahead of special voter registration weekend [SOUND]

Over 130-thousand South African first time identity documents applicants are yet to collect their documents from Home Affairs. Deputy minister Njabulo Nzuza has confirmed many offices have extended their operating hours to facilitate the collection of identification cards, especially in anticipation of the upcoming special registration weekend. Nzuza emphasises the department’s commitment to ensure all eligible voters have their identification ahead of next year’s general elections:
