Gender pay gap causing SA women to accumulate more debt than men

# The National Debt Advisors has revealed that South African women accumulate more debt compared to their male counterparts. The NDA says this is caused by the gender pay gap which is particularly relevant among single mothers. Nearly 38-percent of households in South Africa are led by women. The NDA’s Dehan Scherman explains that women often bear the burden of managing debt, resorting to loans to bridge the income disparity. South Africa records a 30-percent pay gap across various industries.
