# Gauteng acting premier, Lebogang Maile, says the provincial government is going to clamp down on all non-compliant supermarkets and and will be putting more pressure on other big stores. Yesterday, a Shoprite supermarket and a Supa Store outlet in Dlamini, Soweto, were issued written warnings after expired food items were removed from shelves. The two shops are responsible for maintaining their standard, selling food in hygienic places, and not exposing consumers to danger.
