# The Gauteng Department of Health says Malaria is endemic to most countries in the Southern African Development Community region. SADC countries including, the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga are Malaria endemic. Lesotho and Seychelles are the only exceptions in the region. The department is urging Gauteng residents to get tested for Malaria if they have any flu-like symptoms after a visit to a malaria pandemic area.
