Gauteng Community Safety committee to visit Rabie Ridge police station

# The Gauteng provincial legislature’s portfolio committee on Community Safety is set to conduct an oversight visit at the Rabie Ridge Police Station in Tembisa today. This is to address growing concerns over vigilantism and crime levels within the policing precinct. Last month five men were murdered in Rabie Ridge. It is understood the men were stoned to death in a mob justice incident. The committee says it will be engaging with the police to understand the factors contributing to the erosion of community confidence and the escalation of crime.
