# The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa has confirmed its fired CEO Zolani Matthews’ Labour Court case has been withdrawn and referred to the CCMA. Prasa announced in December Matthews’ employment contract had been terminated. This followed after the State Security Agency declined his security clearance application because of his UK citizenship, which he allegedly failed to disclose. Matthews contested his dismissal at the Labour Court in Johannesburg, arguing that Prasa flouted its disciplinary code with the manner in which it handled his suspension and dismissal.
