Former Media24 executive’s sexual assault case postponed

# The sexual assault case against former teacher and Media24 executive Willem Breytenbach has been postponed to the 12th of next month by the Cape Town Regional Court. He is currently in negotiations with the State for a plea and sentencing agreement. An agreement, if accepted, can mean that a trial and the possible distress to witnesses is avoided. Breytenbach is accused of alleged sexual assault by copywriter and podcaster Deon Wiggett when he was younger. He was arrested in December 2019 and remains out on bail.
