# Tshwane emergency services says 800 people were affected by flooding in the Eerste Fabrieke informal settlement, Banana Bridge and Mamelodi. Buses were used to evacuate people to temporary accommodation. Emergency services’ spokesperson, Charles Mabaso, says two SAPS helicopters conducted an aerial assessment of the area and identified about 60 people on the roofs of their dwellings:
