Final countdown to comment on Cape Town’s Urban Waste Management budget [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says residents have until next week Tuesday to comment on the Urban Waste Management Directorate’s proposed budget priorities for the 2024/2025 financial year. Two of the biggest planned capital expenditures proposed are the 180-million-rand for upgrading plants and replacing vehicles, and nine-million-rand for the construction of a material recovery facility. Mayoral committee member for Urban Waste Management, Grant Twigg says in total, capital expenditure for the directorate is proposed to be 301-million-rand:
