# Three people died and two children sustained serious injuries when a truck collided with a light vehicle on the N1 road next to the Aldam Holiday Resort near Ventersburg yesterday afternoon The road had to be closed after the accident and motorists were requested to use alternative routes. Police spokesperson, Steven Thakeng, says the three adult occupants were declared dead on the scene and the jaws of life had to be used to remove two children from the damaged vehicle. Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
