Expanded Public Works Programme empowering the unemployed in Cape Town [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says since the 2019/2020 financial year, 30-thousand unemployed residents have earned an income through short-term job opportunities, offered via the Expanded Public Works Programme. From July last year to February this year, the Water and Sanitation Directorate alone has created five-thousand-651 work opportunities. Mayoral committee member for Water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien, says the city is committed to continue empowering and upskilling unemployed residents:
