End of public consultation period on water use charges approaches

# The Department of Water and Sanitation has begun public consultations on proposed raw water use charges for the 2025/26 financial year. These meetings aim to gather input from sector stakeholders and ensure transparency for public support. As mandated by the National Water Act of 1998, the DWS must consult with various water users before finalising the charges. Meetings have been scheduled in Orkney, Bethlehem, and Pretoria, running from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, with the final consultation on Friday at Southern Sun Pretoria.
