Emerging scholar takes top honour for pioneering sustainable housing research

# The University of the Witwatersrand says a young academic researcher at the institution, Malcolm Weaich, has been honoured with The Best Overall Youth under-35 Award at the 13th international research conference of the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession. Weaich was recognised for his research on the willingness of end-users to adopt sustainable housing in South Africa, and  shedding light on the critical role Quantity Surveyors can play in making sustainability affordable. He says being recognised by the SACQSP is a testament to the dedication and hard work he has invested in his field of research.
