# The EFF students command is appalled and horrified by the gender-based violence incident at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town yesterday. This after a male student who is alleged to be registered at the University of Western Cape is seen on video circulating on social media repeatedly stabbing a female student. South Africa remains a crime scene, particularly for black women and children. The EFFSC Sihle Lonzi says this heinous act is happening in an institution of higher learning which should be a safe haven for the future intelligentsia of the nation.
