# The Randburg Magistrates’ Court has struck Edwin Sodi’s assault and attempted murder case from the roll. Sodi was accused of trying to shoot his estranged wife and a friend in March 2022. NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said the prosecution was ready but rejected a withdrawal statement, however, with both complainants absent, the defence secured a dismissal. Sodi says he is relieved the case is over:
