# The DA in Gauteng says provincial police commissioner, Elias Mawela, has responded to its email requesting his urgent intervention to ensure that electricity is restored to Garankuwa police station in Tshwane immediately. It’s intervention has now forced Mawela to act as the police station has been without electricity since October last year. The DA’s Crezane Bosch says the cables feeding electricity from an Eskom sub-station were severely damaged or stolen:
