DA in the Western Cape welcomes the groundbreaking Riversdal solar project to end load-shedding [SOUND]

# The DA welcomes the beginning of construction on a ten-megawatts solar plant in Riversdal, set to make it the first load-shedding-free town in the Western Cape. The plant will include a battery storage system, enabling power use during peak hours at night. The DA’s Dave Bryant says the renewable energy will be cheaper than Eskom’s supply, helping to reduce costs for businesses and households while ensuring reliable power for critical infrastructure:
