DA critisises doubling of Charlotte Maxeke Hospital security costs

# The DA has slammed the doubling of security costs at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital to 72-million-rand a year. The DA’s Jack Bloom says this is part of a three-year 217.3-million-rand contract awarded to Vimba Electronic Security. Bloom noted that guards earn under ten-thousand-rand monthly while Vimba charges 22-thousand-rand per guard. The DA demands a review of the contract for value for money to be achieved and to ensure proper procedures were followed.
