# The DA in KwaZulu-Natal is calling on the MEC for Health, Nomagugu Simelane, to urgently conduct an oversight inspection into the readiness of state-run Emergency Medical Services, including vehicles, equipment, stocks and staff capacity, ahead of the festive season. The DA’s Edwin Baptie says the appeal comes as accidents continue to wreak havoc and carnage on the roads as the province heads towards extremely high traffic volumes from the beginning of December:
