# The Commission for Cultural, Religious, and Linguistic Rights has opposes forced cremation as Westpark Cemetery nears full capacity by May. The City of Johannesburg urges residents to consider cremation or reburials due to limited burial space. Opened in 1942, the cemetery has restricted burials to 15 per day since January.
