Cricket: World Cup semi-finalists prepare for showdowns   

Cricket: After 45 round-robin games over more than five weeks, ten teams have finally been whittled down to four at the World Cup. Hosts India have topped the standings and will play fourth-placed New Zealand in the first semifinal in Mumbai on Wednesday. Second-placed South Africa take on third-placed Australia in the other semi in Kolkata the next day. The final will take place at the vast Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad next Sunday. There will be no third-place playoff this year.
