# South Africa’s Covid-19 cases are seemingly on the increase with 789 new infections reported yesterday. The majority of new cases were registered in Gauteng with 65-percent, followed by Northern Cape with seven-percent, North West and Western Cape each accounting for six-percent, and KwaZulu-Natal with five-percent. Thirty-eight people were admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 symptoms while seven more people died of the disease. A total of 89-thousand-562 people in the country have so far succumbed to the virus. The recovery rate stands at 96.3-percent.
