# The Cape High Court will today hear an urgent application for an interdict to halt the seismic survey along the West Coast by an Australian company called Searcher Geodata UK Limited. A demonstration against the seismic survey took place at Muizenberg Beach yesterday, which included various environmental organisations, such as the Green Connection and Greenpeace Cape Town Volunteers. Small-scale fisher Christian Adams says the government’s granting of permits to companies is threatening the fishing industry’s existence:
