# City Power says theft and vandalism of infrastructure left residents without electricity supply in Ennerdale. This after criminals illegally gained entry into Hopefield Substation yesterday stealing protection cables and leaving the infrastructure badly vandalized. City Power’s spokesperson, Tebogo Sehlako says technicians are attending to a problem but have warned that the extent of the damage may result in a prolonged outage:
