City of Cape Town records an increase in accidents involving pedestrians [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town’s Public Emergency Communication Centre experienced a modest increase in overall call numbers this past weekend. It dispatched responses to two-thousand-and-35 incidents, most notably road accidents involving pedestrians and cases of assault. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says there were 40 motor vehicle accidents and 28 pedestrian vehicle accidents, 161 were cases of assault and 67 related to domestic violence:
