City of Cape Town invests in load-shedding resilient water and sanitation operations [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says building and investing in load-shedding resilient operations at water and sewer pump stations, wastewater treatment works, and water treatment plants, remains a priority. Over this current 2023/2024 financial year, the city’s Water and Sanitation Directorate plans to spend 87-million-rand on generators and uninterrupted power supply installations for sewer and water pump stations. Mayoral committee member for Water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien, says the money will also be spent on bulk water and wastewater treatment plants:
