# Carbonated drinks manufacturer PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation have been working to increase access to nutritious food for South African children and their families. Now the company will accelerate efforts to help make the food system more inclusive. This was announced by the CEO of PepsiCo sub-Saharan Africa, Tertius Carstens. Wholly-owned subsidiary, Pioneer Foods, currently provides breakfast to more than 33-thousand children in 35 schools in South Africa. Carstens says Pioneer Foods will continue to grow this portfolio of affordable, nutritious options.
