Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management squares up for winter [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says its Disaster Risk Management has put plans in place for the winter season. At present, the outlook for winter points to below-normal rainfall, and slightly higher average temperatures. However, the South African Weather Service has indicated that it cannot rule out the possibility of severe weather events. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says the city does a lot of proactive work around disaster mitigation:
