Cape Town mayor accuses Ramaphosa of damage control over service delivery claims

# Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis says president Cyril Ramaphosa was attempting to do damage control in the National Council of Provinces after praising the city’s governance record. Hill-Lewis states the city continues to outperform ANC-run municipalities, with a record 40-billion-rand infrastructure budget, 75-percent of which benefits low-income households. He adds that Cape Town tops national rankings with clean audits and reliable service delivery, proving that DA-led metros deliver real progress.
