# The City of Cape Town has extended public comments on the sale of Woodstock Hospital until January next year. The facility has been occupied since 2017 by nearly 900 people, as part of the Reclaim the City affordable housing campaign many of the occupiers moved there after being evicted or displaced from their homes in Woodstock due to gentrification. According to the metro, the property is valued at approximately 87-million-rand, including a potential residential development yield of about 500 units comprising open market and social housing.
