Senior civil servant Sue Gray is due to publish a report into alleged Covid-19 rule-breaking at lockdown get-togethers in Downing Street and government departments. Johnson, who is facing calls for his resignation, has apologised to the Queen over Downing Street parties on the eve of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April last year. He says he also apologises for misjudgments by his government:
