Citrus growers anticipate another record export season

# The Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa is anticipating a robust citrus export season, with a projected seven-percent increase in lemon exports, doubling since 2016. Despite challenges like high input costs and infrastructure issues, the association expects growth across various citrus types, including a four-percent rise in Navel orange exports and a 12-percent surge in Valencia exports. Grapefruit exports may also increase by 14-percent, particularly to China. The association calls for government intervention for market access and improved logistics to sustain growth.
