# Gauteng police have arrested approximately 500 offenders and issued traffic fines worth more than 250-thousand-rand. Fines were also issued for offences such as possession of dangerous weapons, drugs, firearms and liquor. Law enforcement agencies conducted crime prevention operations that resulted in guns and ammunition being confiscated. The suspects will appear in various courts tomorrow.
