# The towns of Ficksburg, Fouriesburg, and Clarens in the Eastern Free State have thrown open their doors this weekend for the annual Cherry Festival. Visitors from all over are visiting the area to celebrate the crop festival, the end of a long cold winter, and the beginning of the deciduous fruit season in the district. Various venues in the district have special events and Frieda Kruger from one of the biggest cherry producers in the country, Bloukruin Iona Farm has more about today’s programme on the farm:
