# The Gauteng Health Department claims 86-percent of patients are satisfied with the service received at its hospitals, however, the Auditor-General reported that this could not be confirmed as correct. At specialised hospitals, the department reported achievement of 91-percent. Patients’ experience of care satisfaction rate is among several claimed successes flagged by the AG in the department’s annual report. Last year, the department reported 2.26-billion-rand in irregular expenditure, which has now risen to 2.7-billion-rand.
