# AfriForum’s legal team has sent a letter to the minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, in which it states that the continued curfew is irrational and unfair. South Africa has been in a state of disaster since the 15th of March last year. AfriForum wants the minister to provide written reasons for the curfew, as well as proof of its effectiveness in the fight against Covid-19. The organisation’s Jacques Broodryk says the minister has to reply by Friday:
