# The African Union says insecurity in countries is growing on the continent as some leaders refused to take advice. Four member states have been suspended by the AU’s peace and security council since mid-2021 due to unconstitutional changes of government. The most recent is Burkina Faso, where soldiers overthrew president Roch Marc Christian Kabore last month.
