# The DA in Gauteng demands that more resources be allocated to police to investigate child abductions in the province. This comes after the kidnapping of a Grade 5 pupil at EP Baumann Primary School in Mayfair, Johannesburg. The DA’s Sergio dos Santos says learners have no-one to protect them and ensure their safety as police are severely impacted by a lack of adequate resources to execute their core mandate:
