# ActionSA in Gauteng says it will join a picket outside premier Panyaza Lesufi’s office today. This is in support of the Extended Public Works Programme health workers who have worked on a contractual basis for ten years, but have not been hired permanently. ActionSA’s, Malaika Ditabo, says despite multiple commitments by the Health Department to absorb these workers, who survive on a measly three-thousand-500-rand per month stipend, it has fallen short on its promises:
