Ramaphosa outlines criteria for new National Director of Public Prosecutions panel [SOUND]

# President Cyril Ramaphosa says that the panel to recommend a new National Director of Public Prosecutions will be guided by merit, integrity, and expertise, not political affiliation. The current NDPP Shamila Batohi gears up for retirement in January. In his oral reply to questions in the National Assembly, Ramaphosa said the panel, chaired by Justice and Constitutional Development minister Mmamoloko Kubayi, will make decisions without political influence, ensuring that the Constitution is respected:
